Well, I have to start somewhere.
630 miles from Minehead to Poole (not as a crow flies)
I've set myself 2 months to achieve this, but I know that I can take a bit longer if I want or need.
Obviously I will write more about the walk in later posts, and as things stand, I intend to start from "sunny" Minehead on 29th April. About 4 weeks to go.
As for the blogs, I thought I would try to put across something of the way that I feel about my daily efforts; how I am coping and anything that is - hopefully - interesting and amusing. The sea, weather, food and drink, aches and pains, wildlife and views will surely feature, but I hope to meet some fellow walkers and people in general on the way. It is surprising how much I find that walking on my own brings out my inquisitiveness.
On days when there is nothing much to say, I'll just ramble on about any old rubbish that comes into my head.
There is an opportunity for readers to comment, and if anybody does, I will promise to read them and respond if I can. Your comments may well help me shape the direction of my posts.
Well, It's a start.
So I'll stop there.
